Wedding & Engagement Photography
Every couple fosters their own unique sparks and Kacy translates those through photography to preserve them in any venue. With fresh ideas and feeding off your natural cues, Kacy captures a myriad of shots while respecting your comfort levels. This is YOUR wedding day and she wants it to be documented perfectly. If you want a lot of natural poses and more candid wedding pictures, she will accommodate your requests with professional precision.
When scheduling your ceremony, please be aware of sunset times for the time of year of your wedding. Sunset ceremonies are nice but please note that this does not leave enough daylight for bridal party, family, and bride and groom pictures. 30-45 minutes or more for pictures should be plenty. If you’d like to take couples pictures before the ceremony, please schedule accordingly.
Each *wedding booked includes 2 photographers, a complimentary engagement session**, an online preview, custom designed wedding album and the disc of edited photos. There are also numerous photo gifts, additional albums, invitations, save-the-date cards available for purchase if interested.
Kacy is ready to schedule your engagement session whenever you are! Location can be picked by you or suggestions can be provided. If you are using the pictures for sign-in books, invitations, save the date cards etc. please coordinate accordingly so the necessary shots are scheduled. Outfit changes are encouraged. Usually 2 outfits work best to add variety to your pictures.
*2nd Photographer available for wedding packages that are 4+ hours long only but can be added to smaller coverage for a fee.
**If you choose not to take engagement photos, you can use that hour towards your wedding day coverage.
Portrait sessions are all about you. Kacy strives to showcase your personality with her photos. To ensure that your portrait session is unique as you are, Kacy is an on-location photographer (excludes newborns and some studio sessions). Portrait sessions take place on-location at a setting determined by you and Kacy.
Family sessions usually last about an hour. Please prep your children before hand for what is expected of them during the shoot. Young children tend to get frustrated when they don’t know what is happening! If your child responds well to bribery, candies or snacks that aren’t messy work well. My personal recommendation is Smarties candies. These are useful to get children to smile or stay in place and can be offered one at a time for cooperative behavior. Outfit changes are allowed and encouraged but keep your young children in mind and how they will respond to it. When choosing what to wear try coordinating your outfits while allowing some room for personalities to come out. If you would like to display your pictures in your home, try considering the colors of the décor when choosing your outfits. Try to avoid white clothing where possible as it can be a distraction from your faces in the final product.
Please bring a couple different outfit choices/styles to your session. Kacy wants to see “you” come out in your pictures so feel free to bring any props that help tell who “you” are.
Newborn sessions should be scheduled at a time when the baby can be fed and then placed in the car to come to the studio…this helps to ensure that the baby will fall asleep in the car and hopefully remain asleep once you arrive at the studio for the sleeping newborn poses. It will also aid in having a happy baby.
Please bring a blanket that may be photographed with your baby…and one that they may be swaddled with. **Feel free to bring an extra outfit to have the baby photographed in if you’d like as well as any props you’d like to incorporate to personalize your pictures. Items include: blocks, books, stuffed animals, jewelry etc. Other ideas: musical instruments, cowboy boots/hat, fireman’s hat, stethoscope, sporting items etc. Anything you have laying around is sure to look adorable with your newborn.
Maternity sessions can be taken on-location or in my home with a white or black backdrop. Please let Kacy know before your session what kinds of maternity photos you would prefer and what outfits you are thinking about bringing so that Kacy can be prepared. Pre-pregnancy jeans (unbuttoned) work well in photos with a camisole or tight shirt for your top. Dresses and wraps also photograph well. Consider wearing all black or all white for some pictures that accentuate your belly against the same color solid backdrop. Bringing a spouse or children with you for some intimate family photos anticipating the birth of your baby are so tender so feel free to do so.
The creative fee for portrait sessions is subject to change without notice. For more information or to schedule a session, please email Kacy or fill out the contact form on the website.
