Families

The Rasmussen family was so much fun to work with again. Their kids are growing up so fast and have changed so much since the last time I took their photos. We found an awesome spot in the desert and had the whole place to ourselves. We started out with some pictures in the little wash area and then we went closer to the mountain. We finished with views of the Superstitions at sunset. Desert family photography has become my favorite type of family sessions! The colors at sunset or sunrise are absolutely breathtaking. Their little girl was so sweet and kept grabbing my hand while we were walking to different locations. I love how their pictures turned out and I can’t wait to see them again for future desert family photography sessions.

Weren’t their colors great with this background? I really love when multiple colors are used for outfits. It’s always so hard to choose what to wear for family photos but Natalie always makes great clothing choices!

I enjoyed getting to know this sweet family at theri family photo shoot. I’m so excited for their new addition and I loved the props they brought with them to announce their good news. I’m so sad that this location is now charging an outrageous fee to take pictures. It was one of my favorite spots and my most popular place to go in the last year. It was great to see the Hess family again for their yearly family photography! I loved how their outfits turned out and we lucked out and got a cloudy evening. This is probably my most popular spot over the last year. In fact, I went there so often I finally got smart and bought a yearly parking pass! I am obsessed with the blue and purple hues on the mountain when it’s cloudy or first thing in the morning. It looks so nice with pastel or muted tones! I’m loving how Brittney put all of her boys in adorable bow ties. Thanks so much for a great session!

I love this family! We’ve known their family for many years now and they happen to be our neighbors across the street from us. Nicole did some work for me last year and I owed her a family session in exchange. It took us a while to get this planned….good weather was a priority and in Arizona sometimes that’s hard to find. We chose a pretty cold day but they were troopers and mustered through it, even the kids. I loved the fall look of the location even though it was January.
